Most organisations have procedures in place. What they often lack is a workforce that genuinely understands them, trusts them, and applies them under pressure. Vero was founded to close that gap: combining rigorous technical expertise with the human-centred approach that actually changes behaviour.
We have operated across aviation, oil & gas, construction, maritime, and government advisory: on projects spanning five continents. Every engagement is led personally by Peter or Marielou. That's not a selling point; it's how we believe this work should be done.
Peter McNair

Peter brings more than five decades of frontline HSE experience to every engagement: spanning a 30-year Royal Air Force career progressing to Chief Technician in fast jet operations, and over 26 years in senior HSE consulting across aviation, oil & gas, construction, government, and education. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering and has lectured at the University of Nottingham at degree and diploma level.
He is a recipient of the IOSH President's Distinguished Service Certificate and holds four honours in Her Majesty The Queen's New Year Honours List. He founded and served as Chairman of the IOSH Oman Branch and was among the first OPAL-certified oil and gas consultants in Oman. He acts as a registered expert witness in both Criminal and Civil Law proceedings: providing testimony for courts, insurers, and formal investigation boards.
Marielou Dias
The relationship at the heart of every Vero engagement: from first conversation to final debrief.
Marielou Dias is Co-Founder of Vero Safety Solutions and leads client engagement, partnerships, and business development. Her professional background combines health and safety training, customer success, operational coordination, and go-to-market strategy: providing a broad understanding of the challenges organisations face when implementing change.
She works closely with clients to align operational objectives with practical workforce capability development, helping create stronger foundations for long-term operational performance and reliability. She is the first point of contact for new enquiries and manages every client relationship from first conversation to final debrief.

Every recommendation we make can be implemented by the people who will actually carry it out. We do not produce reports that sit on shelves.
Senior-led delivery
Peter or Marielou leads every engagement. Clients are never passed to junior consultants once the contract is signed. The person you brief is the person who delivers.
Risk-proportionate solutions
We apply ALARP thinking to everything: ensuring controls are proportionate to the risk, not driven by over-caution or under-investment. The goal is the right level of safety, not the maximum level.
Capability over dependency

Work that went beyond the consultancy brief
As Founder and first Chairman of the IOSH Oman Branch, Peter operated at ministerial level across Oman's government and regulatory bodies: lobbying for professional recognition, chairing government conferences, and establishing the branch under the patronage of the Ministry of Manpower.
